SOUTHERN ITALY ITINERARY

Prior to our journey, let's gather for a delightful online cappuccino. I'll address any questions about packing, documentation, expenses, and any other queries that may arise.  

We begin our journey in Salerno, a coastal town that offers the perfect blend of authenticity and elegance. More peaceful than its Amalfi Coast neighbors, it’s the ideal gateway to southern Italy’s treasures.
Settle into your 4-star boutique hotel. Our journey begins at 10:00 AM., join me for a relaxed day stroll through the old town — think cobbled lanes, sea views, and quiet piazzas tucked behind medieval walls.
Evening: Our Welcome Dinner will be held at a refined seaside restaurant. With local wines and coastal flavors, it’s the perfect way to toast to new friendships and the adventure ahead.
 

Forget the traffic. We’ll set out by private boat, gliding across the glittering sea toward the legendary coast.
Our first stop is Amalfi, once a powerful maritime republic, now a beautiful village nestled between cliffs and lemon groves. Stroll through its sunlit piazzas, visit the stunning cathedral, or sip espresso overlooking the harbor.
Next, we cruise to Positano — the crown jewel of the coast. Its pastel houses cascade toward the sea, and the boutiques, views, and beach cafés are truly postcard-worthy.
This is southern Italy at its most cinematic — and you’re in the heart of it. 

Just a short ride from Salerno, Vietri sul Mare is a hidden gem — and the birthplace of Italy’s vibrant ceramic tradition.
We’ll explore its colorful streets and panoramic viewpoints, then head to a family-run atelier where each guest will participate in a hands-on ceramic experience, painting a beautiful piece to take home as a memory of this special place.  

Today we step into history. A short journey brings us to Pompeii, where a private local expert will lead us through a city frozen in time.
You’ll walk ancient streets, explore temples, bakeries, even homes — all preserved beneath the ash of Vesuvius. The scale and silence of the place are unforgettable.
Afterward, enjoy lunch in a charming nearby vineyard or trattoria (optional), returning to Salerno for a relaxed evening. 

Today is yours. Linger over a long breakfast, stroll to the seaside promenade, shop local boutiques, or visit the lush Minerva Gardens tucked above the city.
Optional: join me for an easygoing walk through Salerno’s hidden corners, or book a spa experience nearby. 

We leave the coast and head inland — but first, we stop in the breathtaking city of Matera.
Known for its ancient Sassi, Matera’s cave dwellings feel like another world. It’s no surprise it’s been a movie set for everything from James Bond to The Passion of the Christ.
We’ll explore its stone paths and viewpoints, then continue toward your second home: a stunning Masseria in the heart of Puglia. 

What is a Masseria?

A masseria is a historic farmhouse — a place of peace, tradition, and natural beauty.
Once owned by noble families and surrounded by olive groves, today these estates have been beautifully restored into elegant countryside retreats. On this journey, we’ll stay in a 17th-century Masseria, where you’ll have a private room with local design, enjoy fresh breakfasts, and feel a deep connection to the land and its rhythms. 

Two of the most iconic towns in the Itria Valley await.
First, Locorotondo — a whitewashed hilltop village filled with flower-draped balconies and winding alleys that glow at golden hour.
Then, Alberobello, the UNESCO-protected town of trulli — round stone houses with pointed roofs that look like something out of a fairy tale.
Along the way, we’ll stop for photos, gelato, and plenty of local charm. 

Perched on a hilltop and shining in the sun, Ostuni is simply magical.
Wander its dazzling alleys, peek into artisan shops, and enjoy a long, lazy lunch with a view.
In the afternoon, we return to our Masseria for a very special on-site experience (TBD depending on host offerings) — it could be a cooking class, a guided tasting, or something beautifully unique to our hosts. 

Spend the day relaxing at the Masseria — swim, read, sip wine, and reflect.
Or choose to join an optional excursion to Polignano a Mare, a seaside town perched dramatically over turquoise waters. It’s known for its famous beach cove, whitewashed old town, and cliffside cafés.
In the evening, we gather one last time for our Farewell Dinner under the stars — celebrating all we’ve seen, felt, and shared.

Included is a special local experience in the Puglia countryside, carefully curated to reflect the authentic charm of the region. The exact activity will be confirmed closer to the trip, depending on availability—it may be a wine tasting, a visit to a traditional producer, or another unique and memorable moment designed just for our group.

Travel insurance with medical coverage and trip cancellation protection is mandatory for this trip. While some credit cards may offer limited international coverage, it is your responsibility to ensure you are fully protected. International and domestic flights are not included in the package. However, I can help you find and book the most convenient and cost-effective airfare options. I’ll search for the best available flights that fit your travel schedule and ensure a smooth start to your journey. This service can be added upon request at no extra cost.

Hotel room upgrades and expenses beyond breakfast during your stay are not covered. Please note that reservations will be made for a "double room," and a single room can be added as an optional upgrade. 

Your meals and snacks are not included, with the exception of the Welcome Cocktail, Welcome Dinner and Farewell Dinner, which are part of your package. 

Tickets for museums, trains, and other attractions are not included in your package unless specifically listed as included in the itinerary. For optional day trips, transportation such as train tickets is not included unless otherwise stated. 

Tips for services and meals are not included in your package. Please plan accordingly for gratuities. 

Charges for international phone calls, internet, and communication services not included in the package. 

Costs associated with trip interruptions, delays, or changes not caused by the travel agency. 

Fees related to international currency exchanges, bank transactions, or credit card charges.
